Travel from France to the UK
We do our best to interpret and update this page as soon as advice from the UK government changes. For the very latest advice on entering the UK, we recommend checking gov.uk before travel.
Important: All passengers must follow the rules and requirements for travelling from an Amber list country, even if transiting through France from a Green list country to the UK.
Fully Vaccinated Travellers
1. A negative COVID test
All passengers aged 11 or over travelling on our passenger service require a negative result from a non-NHS PCR or a non-NHS Antigen (lateral flow). You must take the test in the 3 days before your booked departure.
At UK border controls you will need to present an email or text message certificate in English, French or Spanish issued by the testing facility (more information) - failure to do so will result in a £500 fine.
There is no COVID-19 testing facility at the Eurotunnel site. It's your responsibility to ensure the test meets the minimum standards for sensitivity, specificity and viral load details.
2. A "Day 2" COVID test
Fully vaccinated passengers must also purchase/book a travel testing package prior to travel (check rules for children and young people). After arrival, you must take a coronavirus (COVID-19) test on or before the second day. The "test pack" must be booked for each passenger (children aged 4 and under do not need to take these tests) before you begin your trip and its reference number must be specified on your passenger locator form before travelling. Details can be found here.
3. Passenger Locator Form
All passengers aged 18 or over must complete an individual passenger locator form before arrival at the terminal in France (details of children under 18 must be included on the form completed by the adult accompanying them). Each passenger locator form must specify the unique reference number of the booked pre-travel testing package. This form must be presented in digital or paper format to the border authorities.
Each passenger must bring ALL the above documents and supporting evidence with them, ready to present to the authorities.
Important: Prior to travel, you can upload the required documents/results above to your booking, by logging into your account/booking and completing your Health Declarations. Failure to do so will result in manual checks being required which could delay your departure.
